(GD) SSC Constable Recruitment 2018 – 54953 vacancies : SSC had released the Constable (GD) 2018 Notification on 21st July 2018. The total number of vacancies is around 54953 and those who wish to apply for this post can start applying online from 17th August.

Eligibility Criteria:

If you wish to apply for SSC GD 2018 exam, here is the eligibility criteria:

– Age limit: 18 – 23 yrs (+3 yrs for OBC,+5 yrs for SC/ST) (As on the last date of Online registration).

Must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

SSC GD 2018 Application Fee 

A candidate must pay an application fee of Rs. 50/– for SSC GD 2018 Exam. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category are exempted from paying the online application fee. Candidates can pay fee either online through Net Banking / Credit Card/Debit Card or through offline mode by generating a Challan for the same.

SSC GD Exam Pattern 2018

The selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of their performance in the Physical Test, Written Test, Medical Fitness Test. The Final list will be prepared according to the performance in the written exam.

SSC GD Written Test

The Computer-based written exam will be of 100 marks for which 90 minutes time will be given to the candidates.

 

There will be four sections- GK, Reasoning, Mathematics and English/Hindi.

Criteria for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) Test:
PET:

Candidates qualifying the height test will be subjected to the race of 5 Kms for male and 1.6 Kms for a female to be completed within completed 24 Minutes and 8.30 Minutes respectively.

 

PST:
Height: 170 cm (Male), 157 cm (Female)

Chest: Unexpand- 80, Expansion- 5 cm (min Expansion)

 

Medical Examination:

Candidates will be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the candidates who qualify PET/PST.
