1. Pakistan to remain on the FATF Grey List

  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided to keep Pakistan on the FATF Grey List till June 2020. The decision was taken during the group’s meeting and plenary in Paris.
  • The anti-money laundering watchdog decided to keep Pakistan on its Grey List for failure to curb transfer of funds to terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and others.

2. RBI appointed Sunil Gurbaxani as Dhanlaxmi Bank MD & CEO

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) appointed Sunil Gurbaxani as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dhanlaxmi Bank for a period of 3 years.

Sunil is the successor of T.Latha and has also served as the Executive Vice President of Axis Bank.

3. Pragyan Ojha announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Indian left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha announced retirement from international and first-class cricket with immediate effect.

He played his last match for India in 2013 during Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell Test against the West Indies in Mumbai.

4. Indian Railways launched HRMS Mobile app for its employees

In order to bring transparency in the administrative functioning of the Indian Railways, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Railway Board has launched HRMS Mobile App, for all the employees of Indian Railways.

The HRMS Employee Mobile App has been designed and developed by Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS). The app allows employees to view their details related to date of joining, Increments, Promotions, Awards, Transfers, Postings, Leave, Training etc. to bring transparency to administration.

5. Cabinet Secretary holds high-level meeting to review preparedness on coronavirus

Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba hold a high-level meeting to review the status, actions taken and preparedness of States and Union Territories regarding the management of Novel Coronavirus, COVID19.

After a detailed review, in addition to the universal screening as per earlier advisories, universal screening at airports is now being planned for flights from Kathmandu, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.

The meeting was attended by Secretaries of Health and Family Welfare, Civil Aviation, Defence, Information and Broadcasting and DG AFMS and representatives from External Affairs, Home Affairs, Bureau of Immigration, ITBP and Army.
